Camirus has authored and contributed to a number of recent published reports on UK and regional energy policy.
- Powering Growth in a Changing World – The final report of the West Midlands Industrial Energy Taskforce (2023). Camirus chaired the Commission which produced this report, and also provided the report writer and managed the Secretariat. The work was produced in partnership with MAKE UK.
- Repowering the Black Country – initial scoping study (2020). Camirus led this collaborative project setting out a roadmap to decarbonise the Black Country Industrial Cluster. This report is the initial scoping study: the final report will be published in 2023.
- The King Commission Report on Regional Energy Policy (2018). Matthew was a commissioner and leading contributor. This report sets out the national case – focused on the need to tackle climate change and deliver innovation at scale – for giving regional mayors power to establish Energy Innovation Zones.
- A Regional Energy Strategy for the West Midlands (2018). This strategy sets out the framework for delivering clean growth in the UK’s largest region outside London. Matthew was the lead author.
- Energy as an Enabler Report (2018). This report was commissioned by the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership and sets out how energy infrastructure underpins productivity and economic growth. Matthew was the lead author.
